The Rundown: Detectives from opposing societies team up for a dangerous case.
Years ago, the world experienced an event that unleashed a race of giants on the Earth. After years of tension, the regular humans and the giants find a peace with each other with the giants taking the continent of Australia and not stepping on the shores of human civilization except for when they are being utilized for fast travel.
Years into the uneasy peace, an FBI agent finds herself teamed with a Giant detective as the pair go on the hunt for some missing people on both sides that could be linked together. A case that will bring the pair into the middle of a dangerous case.
The Story: Rose is developing an interesting story in this first issue. I really enjoy the complicated character dynamics and the mystery being teased and created in this first issue. This is an intriguing world and I love seeing the detective noir dynamics between the main characters. There is some great tension throughout the story and Rose is creating an intriguing world that I would like to explore.
The Art: King delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. I really enjoy the visual style of this series and the contrast between the characters.
