The Rundown: Truths are revealed and Aaron must make a choice.
Aaron and Jace continue to grow closer to the point where not only does Jace tell Aaron the truth about what happened to him, but he also discovers how dangerous that knowledge can be. When he’s caught by Jessica, Aaron will be given an ultimatum that will depend on the outcome of Jace’s ritual hunt. Jessica will also tell him the dark truth about how dangerous it is to have emotions in the House of Slaughter, especially love.
In the present, the two have another confrontation regarding their complicated relationship and Aaron’s mission to kill Jace. Jace recounts his time during the hunt and how he almost died. In Aaron’s anger, he lashes out at Jace, but something happens that neither one of them expects as the truth behind Jace being brought to the House of Slaughter comes to light along with his plans for the Order itself.
The Story: The writers make this series both compelling and engaging with every issue. The story is filled with great moments and the converging storylines are brilliantly woven together. There is a great edge to the plot and I found myself moved by the personal and interpersonal conflicts between the characters.
The Art: Shehan delivers some beautiful and exciting imagery on every page of this issue. I love the visual style of the issue and how the different times connect visually.
