The Rundown: Hellboy’s adventures in romance will bring him to another adventure in a foreign land.
Things between Hellboy and Anastasia are going really well to the point where the two of them have a date that goes well for the two despite the stares and comments. When they decide to leave early, Anastasia suggest a trip for the two of them.
The pair end up in Turkey where a former professor of Anastasia’s is dealing with a supernatural mystery that the two might be able to help with. A mystery that will involve shadow demons, an ancient curse and time travel.
The Story: A fun, exciting and enjoyable story from start to finish. The flirtation between Hellboy and Anastasia is fun, clever and incredibly sweet. I love how they play off each other and their banter engaged me throughout the issue. The mystery they find themselves in is intriguing and I love how their adventure ends with a twist that makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Smith delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the issue and the visual world being created.
