The Rundown: Atala helps defend a town against a horde of werewolves led by a former friend.
The horde of werewolves are descending on the town and Atala has convinced the town to fight back as best they can. Things get more difficult when Atala realizes that the leader of the horde is an old friend from her time fighting for Kuurn.
As the wolves breach the walls of the city, the fighters deal with betrayal as well as overwhelming forces. Atala steps in to take on their leader as she continues her personal mission of vengeance.
The Story: Douek continues to craft a beautifully violent and entertaining story in this issue. It’s filled with blistering action and thrills as it continues to create a wonderfully engaging back story for Atala. I am enamored with this story and the world being created throughout it. The plot creates some wonderful moments for the character as well as crafts some interesting conflicts that I want to see explored.
The Art: Smith delivers amazing action throughout the issue. The visuals are fantastic and perfectly capture the tone of the story.
