According to an Entertainment Weekly exclusive, actor Henry Thomas has joined the cast of Stargirl as Dr. Charles “Dr. Mid-Nite” McNider.
Created by Charles Reizenstein and Stanley Josephs Aschmeier, Dr. McNider is a brilliant doctor and scientist in peak physical health. After being blinded by a criminal, McNider discovers that he has perfect vision in the dark and used his gift to become a superhero. He’s also a founding member of the Justice Society of America.
Henry Thomas is known for his roles in films like E.T. The Extraterrestrial, Legends of the Fall and Gerald’s Game. Recently he was featured as the younger version of Hugh Crain in the critically acclaimed horror anthology series The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix.
Stargirl is expected to launch on DC Universe in 2019.
