The Rundown: The team splits up to look for their fallen commander while Matt discovers Maddi’s motives.
Things are getting more intense on the island as the survivors of the derrick trek return to base camp without Gersh. After telling Shah that they are going back for her, the soldiers leave the rest behind and Maddison tells Matt the real reason she came to island and what she discovered.
When Sandoval awakens, he confronts Shah in the manor only to find himself pulled down beneath the surface as the soldiers discover that Gersh is waiting for them and has a new and darker mission.
The Story: Cady delivers a thrilling story in this issue. The plot is filled with great tension and suspense and I really enjoy the rising terror. The characters are really engaging and everything from their actions to motivations are intriguing. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Mutti delivers great art in the issue. The visuals beautifully capture the dark and terrifying environment of the story.
