The Rundown: In a bid to escape the Floronic Man, Harley and Ivy find themselves in a twisted theme park where there is very little amusement.
Harley has decided to take Ivy to a part of the country where they are almot guaranteed not be discovered by Woodrue, the desert. As they make their way along, Harley finds an amusement park she wants to stop in and stretch her legs. Ivy reluctantly agrees and the two make their way to Dinosaur Land.
Unfortunately, this tourist trap emphasizes the trap as the ladies find themselves surrounded by minions of the twisted and apparently very lonely Dracorex who not only wants to team up with the two of them, but gets really upset whenever anyone decides to leave.
The Story: A fun side story that still finds a way to effectively weave back in the presence of the Floronic Man and his chase for Ivy. Jody Houser writes some great dialogue between Harley and Ivy. There are some smart and funny moments throughout the issue and the tone and humor are what keep me coming back. I would have liked to see the story lean more into the Thelma and Louise aspects of the story, but that’s probably just me showing my age.
The Art: Adriana Melo’s art is always fun and full of vibrant energy and this is no exception. Not only do the characters look amazing, but the action is beautifully done as well.
