The Rundown: Harley finds out the truth about her friend’s death and the mystery leads to a bigger threat.
After confronting the man she believes is the mastermind behind her friend’s death, Harley will get some devastating news that she has to take back to a grieving daughter. News that will turn everyone’s lives upside down. In her anger and depression she turns to Booster Gold who offers her something unusual, understanding. Not knowing what to do next, she turns to Charity XO for answers and receives some interesting information.
After going back into the ring for another match, she decides to take a bit of punishment before getting at the truth. After discovering what really happened to her friend, Harley will find out that her murder was just the beginning of something bigger and more sinister than she could possibly imagine.
The Story: Sam Humphries takes the story to some interesting and entertaining places in this issue. Not only does Harley have an engaging personal journey, but there is a sweet moment between she and Booster that is worth exploring. The story really picks up as Harley has to deal with her pain instead of burying it and the revelation at the end reveals a bigger story that I can’t wait to see explored.
The Art: Sami Basri has some great, energetic artwork throughout this issue. From the action to the characters, Basri’s style shines through with panels that draw the eye.
