The Rundown: Curtis’ time is running out as his allies rally to his defense with the press.
With Curtis on the run, both Tiffany and Barraki decide to do what they can to clear his name and expose Alva publicly for framing him. All eyes are on the press conference including Alva himself and Curtis watching from a secret location in Singapore. Unfortunately, the public outing might not have the effect Curtis was looking for as his new benefactor is still in league with the man who ruined both their lives.
As Curtis continues to work on repairing his armor, Alva unleashes a dangerous plan aimed at the women trying to clear Curtis’ name. At the same time, Curtis confronts Alva’s former partner with the truth he already knew about his time with him, but he is unaware of how far Alva will go to protect himself and the resources at his disposal.
The Story: Thomas does a brilliant job of ramping up the tension throughout the issue. There are some great character moments throughout and the story is brimming with a sense of cool energy. I love the way the tension in the story mounts and how the different parts of it come together in some great cliffhanger moments that make me excited for the next issue.
The Art: Cowan’s art is gorgeous. There are so many awesome visual moments and the art perfectly captures the tension and emotion of the story.
