The Rundown: The girls continue their tour, but one of them is having second thoughts.
Vera takes over the story as she and her friends find themselves traveling with the band The Moon Show. Unfortunately, her jealousy continues to be an issue as her friend Lisa has become connected to the lead singer Si and she continues to try to determine what happened to Amina.
After discovering that the band’s label has released a new single and the band is getting more money, Vera continues to both deal with her issues and worry about Amina. When a body is discovered, Vera is convinced it’s her friend and she discovers that Lisa has gotten into something dark with Si. Something that could be connected with the band’s mysterious record label.
The Story: Mullane crafts a fantastic follow up that creates some great moments for the characters while also focusing on them in a way that makes them more compelling and interesting. I really enjoy the mystery being developed in this series and how it is a wonderful slow burn of darkness that is really compelling. I really love these characters and how interesting they are.
The Art: Lotay’s art is beautiful across the board. There are so many beautifully detailed and ethereal visual moments throughout this issue.
