The Rundown: In the wake of a personal tragedy, a father and daughter find a haunting purpose.
In the aftermath of losing his wife and young son, the reverend finds it hard to deal with the reality of his loss or connect with his daughter Harmony. It doesn’t help that the pair of them can now see ghosts who want help.
As Harmony goes into town, her father is left to deal with a dead former surgeon who has a haunting story to tell about a demon being released in the world. As the father fights to free the ghost and finds a new purpose, neither he nor his daughter realize they are not alone with their new gift.
The Story: Bunn expands the mystery in this issue along with creating some interesting conflict for the characters throughout. I really enjoyed the contrast in this issue to the last with the father having the bigger story while Harmony falls into the background a little. There’s some great action in the issue as well as an intriguing world being developed within it.
The Art: Leomacs delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue and fills every page with not only great visual moments, but awesome and dark imagery.
