The Rundown: Demona begins her plan as friends arrive in Manhattan.
Goliath enters into a tenuous deal with Vinnie that he might regret. At the same time, Jade and Turquesa arrive at castle from Avalon and the Gargoyles have something that they might want to take with them. While they commiserate, Coldstone sees that the Xanatos family has arrived back at the castle.
On the other side of the world Thailog begins his part in Demona’s plan. A plan that will require him to locate the home of a mysterious and magical man in possession of a powerful artifact. An artifact Demona will require as she breaks into the castle to confront Owen.
The Story: Weisman delivers a fantastic story in this follow up issue. The mystery is deepening and the strategic choices the characters are making add to the drama while ramping up the suspense and thrills. I continue to love the new look at this world and its characters. The plot is beautifully intricate while continuing to be constantly engaging and accessible to fans of the characters as well as new readers.
The Art: Qualano delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the series and how the art captures the characters and the action perfectly.
