The Rundown: While the clan finds small moments of peace, their enemies plan something big.
Goliath attempts to find some level of peace in a world that knows he exists. He agrees to meet with a group of people who want to learn more about Gargoyles as protestors attempt to destroy the tenuous peace they’ve found. At the same time, Angela wants to hear from her friends on Avalon as well as her mother regarding coming to her commitment ceremony and Elisa is warry of the attention to Goliath coming from a member of the Dracon family.
Demona uses her human persona to steal a valuable artifact and then meets with Thailog to form a plan that will benefit them both. Their enemies gather to perform the next part of their plan with a traitor within the clan and a pair of visitors arrive to continue a quest that will ensnare them all.
The Story: Weisman has been teasing a big event for the characters since the series began and it looks like that tease is starting to come to fruition. I continue to love the intricacy of this series and this one adds so many elements that I loved from the series while also evolving the characters and their relationships. There is some great intrigue in the story and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Qualano deliver some beautiful art in the issue. The visuals capture the dark, ominous tone of the story as well as the fantastic characters.
