The Rundown: Goliath makes a decision in prison while the gang war in the city escalates.
Brooklyn has broken into Riker’s to free Goliath, but the clan leader decides to stay and face human justice. A move that will put him at huge risk while the rest of the clan are forced to rely on Xanatos for protection at the castle. At the same time, violence is growing in the city with the mob war heating up.
As Brooklyn contemplates how he will lead in Goliath’s absence, Broadway gets an unexpected visitor. A visitor that will prompt him and Lexington to pay an old enemy a visit while a more powerful enemy prepares to confront Goliath.
The Story: Weisman has raised the stakes for the characters on multiple fronts and I love the tension throughout the issue. The story is engaging, compelling and has me locked in from the first exchange between Brooklyn and Goliath. Weisman is definitely taking the story in some interesting directions and I am here for the ride. I’m excited to see where it goes next.
The Art: Kambadais delivers some stunning imagery throughout the issue. The art is vibrant, engaging and filled with great emotional moments for the characters.
