Game of Thrones alum Peter Dinklage stars alongside the late Anton Yelchin in a sci-fi thriller that challenges memory itself.
In the science fiction thriller Rememory, Dinklage plays a mystery man determined to solve the murder of the founder of a new kind of technology (Martin Donovan) that can extract, record and playback a person’s memory. When the scientist’s grieving widow (Julia Ormond) refuses to leave her home, the mystery man must steal the device and use it to solve the murder. In the course of his investigation, he discovers long-buried secrets about the man’s personal life and that the memories that he is extracting might be affecting him in ways that he doesn’t understand.
The trailer is intriguing and it gives me a Memento style vibe from the narrative. Dinklage is always compelling on-screen and it will be interesting to see how this film and the investigation at the heart of it, play out.
Rememory premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and the film is co-written and directed by Mark Palansky.
