The live action adaptation of Brian K Vaughn’s comic book series Y: The Last Man has had a long and interesting voyage to the screen and this week is no different.
The series follows Yorick, an escape artist who travels the country trying to find out why the male chromosome has been wiped out and why he is the last man on Earth. Y: The Last Man was ordered to series in 2018 and was set to debut this year, but the departure of series lead Barry Keoghan forced the production to not only look for a new lead, but to reshoot his scenes.
FX announced that actor Ben Schnetzer will take over the role of Yorick in the new series which also stars Diane Lane, Imogen Poots, Lashanna Lynch and Amber Tamblyn. Schnetzer is known for his roles in films like Snowden, The Book Thief, Warcraft and Pride.
