Swamp Thing and his family have joined a group of rebel humans who are preparing to liberate the people being held at the S.T.A.R. Fortress. As they get closer to the base, the commander consults with the man responsible for using Obisidian in his plan to black out the world and destroy the green, Jason Woodrue. Word reaches them of the impending attack and they prepare to set off the weapon as the rebels attack.
Swamp Thing and his children fight their way into the base and confront Woodrue as he begins his final assault. An assault that he hopes will do more than just destroy the green.
