The Rundown: The members of the House of El battle the Red King in an effort to save their home from destruction.
In the future, Ronan has taken on the mantle of Superman. War has come to Earth and the moon. When the Fortress of Sanctuary is attacked, the members of the House of El choose to defend their home despite impossible odds. When the Red King’s army draws the team into battle, Braniac 4 tries desperately to find a solution that will save them all. After an epic confrontation, someone unexpected appears. The Red King then makes a choice that may change the course of the war.

The Story: This is a high energy and battle heavy issue. I really enjoyed seeing the members of the House of El in action. As each member played their part, I found myself anxious for the characters safety and was invested in their individual outcomes. There were also some well done emotional moments that really brought the story to life. While the ending felt a bit anti-climatic, I was left wanting to know what happens next.
The Art: Gabe Eltaeb uses bold brilliant colors to set off the artwork of Scott Godlewski. The result is brilliant. This is a story filled with epic fight scenes that are expertly crafted. Each action panel is awe inspiring and fully transported me into the story.
