Later, Arkham Knight teams up with Batman and Peacekeeper Red. They then confront Warmonger and his crew.
Into the Circle
The Joker recruits a group of henchmen for a robbery mission. The thieves arrive at stately residence. They are then confronted by Batman and an altercation occurs. In the end, someone surprising reveals their identity.
The Story: This chapter features the lead on-going story, as well as a short, and unrelated one shot tale. In the main story, we see a new angle of a horrific event, as well as the origin of a deadly villain. I’m curious to find out how the Bat Family will respond to the current events. Also, the ending cliff hanger was well crafted, and I look look forward to the next episode. In the B Story, we see a craftier side of Bruce Wayne’s Batman. The ending reveal is very surprising speaks to one of the origins of Bruce’s transition into the caped crusader.
The Art: The black and white motif continues in this issue. The artists do a great job with conveying the tone of their particular stories. And the detailed artwork really immerses you in the story, especially in the secondary tale.
