One of the best things about every season of CW’s The Flash has been the introduction of a new version of the character Harrison Wells from actor Tom Cavanagh.
In the first season of The Flash, Cavanagh introduced us to Harrison Wells. The founder of Star Labs was secretly Eobard Thawne (Reverse Flash) and had spent the first season training Barry so that the Flash could use his powers to send Thawne back to the future.
In season two, we are introduced to “Harry” Wells, a brilliant scientist from a parallel Earth who reluctantly became part of Team Flash in order to stop the threat of Zoom.
In season three, Cavanagh gave us the lovable con man H.R. Wells, who conned his way onto Team Flash by pretending to be a scientific genius but was secretly writing a book about the team’s adventures with himself as the hero. Ultimately, H.R. sacrificed himself to save a member of the team.
During a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, Cavanagh revealed that there may be another Harrison Wells appearing in the upcoming fourth season of The Flash.
“We’re going to start with Harry and then find a way, I think, to try and get a different version of Wells in there, be it some version of Harry or whatnot as the season’s gaps present themselves. I mean, there is stuff that’s involved with this season that we’re talking about how Wells might become a different version of Wells, but I think that’s a storyline too far from me to give up.” he said.
