The Rundown: The animals return home to find everyone gone and more terror around them.
The animals manage to make their way through the quarantine zone and find themselves back at their home. As they enter the residence, they discover that it is empty and more importantly, there is no food to be found. Lord continues to act impulsively and Patch continues to needle Elsie about why. Needling that doesn’t help the guilt she feels regarding a moment from their past.
When Lord’s impulsive behavior continues to cause problems, Patch confronts Elsie in front of the group and she is forced to tell the truth. At the same time, they are attacked by the dog next door and discover that one of them is infected.
The Story: Fleecs continues to create an insanely engaging and entertaining story in this issue. I continue to love the fast pace of the story as well as the atmosphere being created by the characters and their interpersonal dynamics. There’s some great action throughout the story and moments of intense terror. I love the twist in the story and cannot wait to see how it plays out.
The Art: Forstner and Rodriguez deliver beautifully detailed art throughout the story. I love the animation style of the art and how it handles the cute characters and the terrifying elements around them.
