Some of the best memories we have of childhood include the hours of animated entertainment we enjoyed. Some of the biggest names in the voice acting industry, the people who gave us the voices of characters from our youth, are working on a new project.
According to an exclusive from The Hollywood Reporter, Rob Paulsen (the dynamic voice behind characters like Pinky from Pinky and the Brain, Yakko Warner from Animaniacs and both Raphael and Donatello from two different iterations of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) will be developing a new animated series called The Gang’s All Here. Joining Paulsen on the project will be Kevin Conroy (the voice of Batman from Batman: The Animated Series as well as Justice League and Justice League Unlimited) and Cal Dodd (voice of Wolverine from the X-Men Animated Series).
The series will be set in the entertainment industry as a group of animated animals navigates the industry while starring in their own films.
The Gang’s All Here also managed to lure back Andrea Romano (prolific casting and voice director from Batman: The Animated Series and others) back into the fold after she announced her retirement earlier this year. The creators of the series are taking a unique approach to shopping it to studios. Rather than shop the concept and let the studio bring in voice talent and directors, the developers have decided to shop the show as a package with voice talent and directors already attached.
No studio has signed on for the project as of this story.
