The Rundown: Macraith discovers something new on the island while Asami discovers a link to her dark past.

A dark chapter from Macraith’s past jolts him awake after recovering from his injuries. At the same time, Asami travels to the top of the mountain and discovers something there that reaches back into her own dark history to torment her.

After confronting Mohan and falling into a trap, Macraith finds himself in a new part of the island with a familiar face. Emerging back into the dark world he now calls home, he finds some unexpected tenderness from Asami after performing an act of kindness. An act that could lead to hope for the two warriors.

The Story: Duggan continues to craft an engaging story in this issue. While the story continues to be immersive and compelling in its mystery and characters, this issue suffered a little in its pacing. It truly starts to pick up in the second half and I look forward to more moments between Macraith and Asami as well as the mystery at the heart of the island.

The Art: Brown delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the use of shadow in the scenes between the two main characters and how wonderfully immersive the visuals are.
