The Rundown: The X-Men continue their offensive to liberate mutants while Cyclops discovers Orchis’ bigger plan.
The mutants go on the attack with Rogue and Gambit collecting the willing fighters from Arakko including Apocalypse. As they make their way back to Earth to fight for the survival of all mutants, Emma Frost goes on the hunt for Dr. Stasis while Juggernaut protects Krakoa.
As Emma and Kitty confront Stasis and deliver the end he deserves, Cyclops goes on his own mission with the rogue Orchis doctor Alla Gregor. A mission that will bring him home to confront Nimrod and the true motive behind Orchis’ war against the mutants.
The Story: Duggan continues to dazzle with a story filled with complexity and drama. The story is beautifully crafted to give the reader suspense, action and thrills throughout as the pieces continue to be put into place. There is a great balance of both action and investigation as the saga of these characters continues to capture my imagination and attention.
The Art: Werneck and Morales deliver fantastic art throughout the issue. Both visual styles complement each other perfectly.

March 18, 2024 - 10:33 amI really enjoy your reviews, but I can’t agree with you here. I think the Krakoan Era of X-Men fell into the plot convolution problems that plagued it before the 2019 HoX/PoX relaunch. These stories are confusing, too many plots going on at once, and its hard to make sense of everything. I’m looking forward to the upcoming post-Krakoa era (Gail Simone on Uncanny!) but I worry X-Men may be reverting back to this pre-Krakoa status quo of confusing storytelling.
