The Rundown: Camelot is under siege and Morgan Le Fay will go to war with the new mutant nation in order to protect her power.
Camelot is under attack and Arthur is nowhere to be found. Morgan Le Fay has taken over as Queen Regent and has discovered that a portal to Krakoa is tapping into her power.
At the same time, Betsy Braddock is moving out of her brothers home and to Krakoa. Unfortunately, the move comes with its own set of issues as she runs into the woman whose body she inhabited for years and a resurrected family member up to his old tricks. When Apocalypse sends her back to her brother to find out what is going with the portal to Otherworld, Morgan strikes.
Her attack will change everything for Betsy and prompt a new team of mutants to take on a new magical threat.
The Story: Tini Howard begins a new and interesting story for the mutants of Krakoa. Adding a new threat to both the world they are creating is a risky move, but it adds a new element to the overall story that is welcome. I like the fact that this part of the story takes on the magical world of Marvel and also gives Betsy Braddock a purpose. The dialogue is great and the pace of the story is fun and light. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Marcus To has some beautiful visuals in this issue. There are some great character renderings throughout and I love how everything has a fluid aesthetic.
