The Daniels are going from Oscar gold to a galaxy far far away.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winning directors Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan are working on the newest Star Wars live action series Skeleton Crew starring Jude Law.
According to THR, the series has recently wrapped production and that the Daniels directed at least one of the episodes of the upcoming series. Skeleton Crew is the brainchild of Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts and executive produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
The series stars Jude Law and centers on a group of kids lose in the galaxy trying to find their way home. The series takes place during the New Republic era so there could be some connections to the Mandalorian and Ahsoka series, but details on the series are shrouded in mystery.
Kwan and Scheinert took home three Academy Awards for Everything, Everywhere All At Once including best original screenplay, best director and best picture. There’s no release date for Skeleton Crew so far, but that will change in the next few weeks when Star Wars Celebration will probably give us our first look at the series.
