Event Leviathan #3

The Rundown: After a disastrous confrontation with Jason Todd, the detectives need to re-focus on who Leviathan is and more importantly, what he wants.
Confronting Jason does not go well for anyone involved and as they find themselves in the Fortress of Solitude with more questions than answers. As they continue to piece together the mystery of who Leviathan is, Lois Lane holds a piece of the puzzle that might exonerate Jason and lead them to who the real Leviathan is.
As more answers are revealed, Batman discovers that the Fortress is not as secure as everyone believes when a listening device is found with a direct line to Amanda Waller. As the spymaster retreats from her location, she is confronted by Leviathan himself, but Waller will find that she’s not completely alone after all.
The Story: Event Leviathan is really getting good on both a plot and dialogue level. There are so many layers to the story and there is a genuine, engaging mystery at the heart of this story. Bendis grabs the audience with this story and takes them on a smartly told, well plotted ride. I would love to see more of the world Leviathan inhabits and what motivates the character because he has become as interesting as the mystery of his identity.
The Art: Alex Maleev continues to dazzle with the visuals in this issue. I love both the style and composition of the images throughout.
