The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive casting announcement for the upcoming Moon Knight series on Disney Plus.

According to the exclusive, actor Ethan Hawke has been cast in the upcoming series that will star Oscar Isaac in the title role.

Based on the Marvel Comics character, Moon Knight is former mercenary turned superhero Marc Spector who is the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Spector also deals with dissociative identity disorder.

Hawke will play the main villain in the series but his role has not been revealed at the time of this story. Ethan Hawke is known for his roles in films like Gattaca, Dead Poets Society and Training Day. He most recently starred in the series The Good Lord Bird and his next role will be in the Viking revenge saga The Northman opposite Anya Taylor-Joy.
