The Rundown: The Eternal confront one of their own as the violence continues.
Thena awakens in Lemuria, the home of the Deviants and realizes quickly that she’s not alone. When the other Eternals arrive, they want answers about her whereabouts and what, if anything, she knows about the murder of Zuras. After discovering what she’s been doing in the city of their oldest enemies, Sersi has more questions and we discover that the rivalry and suspicion between the two has been going on for over a hundred thousand years.
At the same time, Ikaris continues his watch over the human Toby Robson. As he continues to watch over the young man, his presence draws the attention of both the people in the neighborhood and the news media. A prospect that forces the boy’s parents to invite the Eternal inside to learn more.
The Story: Gillen does a great job of giving the reader insight into the dynamics of these characters and their personal relationships with each other. The story is steeped in intrigue and the mystery continues to be interesting. The story serves as a really good way of bringing the reader into the world of these characters, especially new readers who might not know much about the Eternals and their conflicts.
The Art: Ribic delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout and the characters are brilliantly expressive.
