The Rundown: Elvira and Vincent look for a missing actress and end up in a world of horror.
Elvira is having a quiet evening at home with her new supernatural pal Vincent Price when a call from an agent alerts her that an actress and the problematic director she was dealing with have gone missing. Smelling a mystery to be solved, Vincent leaps into action with Elvira following behind as they head to North Hollywood to investigate.
The pair make their way to the home of the director and begin looking for clues. As they descend deeper into the house, Vincent reveals something shocking about movies themselves before showing Elvira that the same magic that brought him back has now sent the actress they’re looking for into the world of a horror movie. A movie they will have to enter if they have any chance of finding her.
The Story: Avallone keeps the fun, humor and energy going in this issue. The story is great and the banter between Elvira and Vincent continues to be a highlight. There are some great moments with the characters and the plot is fast moving, but engaging. The story has a wonderful build up and the resolution makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Juan Samu delivers some great art on every page. The character designs continue to be wonderful and the action is both thrilling and beautifully detailed.
