The Rundown: Elvira and Lovecraft take a tour of academia.
After finding a fake Necronomicon on their first mission, Elvira and the ghost of Lovecraft head East to the hall of Miskatonic University to find the original. After meeting the head librarian and her assistant, the four head down into the depths of the university to find what they are looking for.
Unfortunately, the cult members following them have different ideas and want the book for themselves. A task that becomes more difficult when Lovecraft realizes that the librarian is not who she claims to be and is in fact, something much worse.
The Story: A consistently fun, funny and imaginative adventure from Avallone. I love the humor, horror and tone of this series and this issue is great for fans of Elvira and the works of Lovecraft. The banter between the characters continues to be fun and I love seeing Avallone fire off great one-liners while also building great character moments.
The Art: Baal delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style a lot and how visually immersive and fun the art continues to be.
