Deron GenerallyNetflix’s live action adaptation of the cult classic Japanese animated series Cowboy Bebop has added another member to its cast.
According to Deadline, actress Elena Satine has joined John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda and Alex Hassel in the project from Tomorrow Studios, Marty Adelstein’s joint venture with ITV Studios; Midnight Radio (Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg); writer Chris Yost (Thor franchise); and Sunrise, the studio behind the original series. Shinichiro Watanabe, director of the original anime, will serve as consultant.
Satine will play Julia, a dangerous woman with a past and history with lead character Spike Spiegel (Cho). Julia does what it takes to survive in a violent world. Elena Satine is known for roles in series like Strange Angel, The Gifted, Magic City and Revenge.
