The Rundown: The sheriff pays a visit as the killer makes his next move.

The sheriff tracks down the location of the murdered family’s missing mule and confronts the family that took it. At the same time, Sarah wakes up and makes a deal with the mayor to cover the town for a human interest story while looking for a place to develop her photos. The sheriff confronts the family over the mule and finds himself in a fight against the father and his two sons. A fight that will lead to an intervention by the killer himself.

After the sheriff is discovered in the back of a truck, he returns to the former doctor to be looked at while Sarah returns to the same house to show him that there is definite evidence that the family was murdered and the killer is still on the loose.

The Story: Jones and Bram continue to craft an engaging and entertaining mystery in this issue. I continue to love the world of this story and how the world and the environment affect the tone of the story. I really enjoyed the surprise appearance of the killer and what they do in the brief moments they are shown. It adds a real ominous feel to the story and I look forward to seeing what their actions mean for the sheriff and the town.

The Art: Jones creates beautifully intricate and visually stunning art throughout the issue. I love the realism of the art and how expressive the characters are within it.
