The Rundown: As the reporter learns more about the sheriff, a killer grows bolder.

Sarah learns more about the sheriff in a conversation with the mayor. A conversation where she learns about a dark moment in his career that continues to haunt him. At the same time, a group moves in promising to bring rain to the area as Lawton tries to transport the bodies to the doctor to be examined.

In the aftermath of secrets revealed, Lawton finds a moment of peace as two of the local teenagers find a moment for something else. Something that will get the attention of a mysterious figure who might be looking for his next victim.

The Story: Jones and Bram continue to craft a wonderfully atmospheric slow burn of a story in this issue. I continue to be impressed with the characters and how immersive the story is as it weaves its way through the character stories drawing in the reader before introducing a new piece of information that makes the mystery and the world of this story more compelling.

The Art: Jones crafts stunningly detailed art on every page of this issue. I love the designs of everything from the characters to the backgrounds and the desolation of the area perfectly encompasses the tone and emotion of the story.
