It’s a lazy night in Duckburg as Launchpad, Dewey and Webbie sit out in the dark and watch the stars.
The quiet of the night is broken by an alert that a weather event is coming straight for the town.
Beakley informs Scrooge, who is bored and the news perks him up. When the impending tsunami begins to head towards the money bin, Scrooge and company head that way to rescue Louie and Huey.
When they reach the Money Bin, the group will discover that the tsunami isn’t natural and that there is a connection to Launchpad.
This was a fun interlude and stand alone issue for the characters. While the story has a direct connection to Launchpad, he doesn’t really feature that prominently in it. Not necessarily a huge deal, but it was noticeable. Joe Caramagna crafts a fun and funny story in this issue and it is enjoyable in that regard.
The art is reminiscent of the animated series and it looks great in tandem with the story.
