The Rundown: Strange will discover who has been breaking into his forge and will enlist some help in bringing her down.
Strange travels to Nidavellir to enlist the help of the dwarf who helped him build his forge. When he arrives, he finds himself in a battle against two foes using weapons built in that very forge. After defeating them, he returns to the hospital to continue his investigation and is summoned to the Academy.
After conferring with friends and hearing the story of a displaced troll with information for him, Strange enlists the help of Dr. Druid to travel to the mythical city of Kryll where they will discover who has been breaking into the forge. But the good doctors might not be as clever as they think walking into a bazaar filled with creatures who want the head of Dr. Strange.
The Story: Fun, action packed and engaging, Mark Waid brings all the elements that make Strange such an interesting and enduring character to bear in this issue. The plot is well done and the story continues to be rich and entertaining. Seeing the character both overcome difficult obstacles as well as utilize his intellect and skills make me interested in where the story is going next, especially with the reveal at the end.
The Art: Kev Walker’s style of art is fantastic and is showcased brilliantly in this issue. From the action to the characters, everything has a element of fantasy that serves the story and its themes well.
