The Rundown: The Doom Patrol are trapped in a world they can’t escape and a familiar face could lead them out.
The team has been trapped in an unfamiliar world for years and every attempt to escape is thwarted as the world itself gets bigger around them. Cliff follows a series of clues from an unknown book that leads him to a destroyed army of metal men. When the rest of the team arrives, they discover where they are meant to go.
Once there, they find Beast Boy trapped in a form he can’t escape from. With new clues in hand, they make their way to Syndicate headquarters where they will discover who has trapped them there and what happened to Larry.
The Story: The series continues to be one of the most original and engaging comics out there and this issue is no different. Way, Lambert and Orlando take the characters to some incredible places in this issue and the story grabs the reader from the beginning and takes them on a wild ride. An incredibly fun issue that reinforces everything great about Doom Patrol and the strange and unusual world they inhabit.
The Art: Shaner offers some amazing art in this issue. All of the characters look amazing and the action is incredible.
