The Master of the Mystic Arts will have to cast his spell at a later date.
With the current crisis changing the landscape of the entertainment industry, the upcoming sequel to Doctor Strange has become another casualty of shifting release dates.
As with the rest of Marvel’s Phase 4 slate of films, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be moving back four months from its original November 5, 2021 release date to a new release date of March 25, 2022. After Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson left the sequel, Marvel Studios brought in Disney Plus Loki series head writer Michael Waldron to write the sequel which will be directed by Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 director Sam Raimi.
