The Rundown: Strange and Clea find themselves facing off against Blade who reveals that he is more than they know.
As vampires invade the world and the sky is darkened, Strange and Clea are working on a plan that would wipe out all vampires at once. When Blade arrives, he reveals that he is something more and this is all part of his plan before attacking Stephen and turning him into a vampire.
As Clea and Blade battle, he reveals that he is working on something to neutralize them. Something that will force Clea to make a choice if she wants victory. At the same time, another Strange sees an opportunity.
The Story: Blood Hunt has literally gone straight for the throat with this issue. MacKay showcases the menace and strategic thinking of the villain in this series while also giving the characters a dark and impactful moral dilemma. The story is dark and I continue to love the drama both external and with Strange and Clea’s relationship drama. I’m looking forward to seeing how this story plays out.
The Art: Ferry delivers some dramatic art throughout the issue. I really enjoyed the visual style, especially during the action scenes. The visual representation of magic looks amazing.
