Deron GenerallyRecently, live action Beauty and the Beast stars Luke Evans and Josh Gad announced that they would produce and star in a prequel series focusing on the adventures of Gaston and LeFou.
Now that series has a title, which was revealed by the composer of the original animated film.
According to multiple sources, composer Alan Menken revealed the title during an interview about his recent Emmy win for composing the music for the animated Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure. The win made Menken a member of the elite group of EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) winners. During the interview, Menken revealed that not only is he composing the music for the upcoming series, but that it is titled “Little Town” based on the first line of the first song in the film.
Not much is known about the plot of the series or how it will lead into the events of the film, but centering an entire series around the stories villains is definitely a risk. It will be interesting to see if “Little Town” fleshes out the characters more and creates a duo worth following as a viewer.
