Deron GenerallyMattg Groening, the creator behind hit animated comedies like The Simpsons and Futurama introduced a new animated world on the streaming service Netflix.
Disenchantment, the new series from Groening is currently airing its first season on the streaming service.
According to an exclusive in The Hollywood Reporter, Disenchantment has been renewed for two additional seasons. The order will be twenty new episodes of the series beyond the initial twenty episode order. This means that there will be four complete seasons of ten episodes coming to the service starting in 2019.
“We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix. Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off,” Groening said.
Disenchantment really started reaching its potential after the first few episodes and this renewal gives the series time to grow, evolve and discover its voice.
