The Rundown: Tracy continues his investigation as more corruption threatens his findings.
Tracy, Pat and Tess are staking out a housing development that they are convinced is a front for the mob. After discovering that Pruneface oversees the operation, Tracy calls in a raid, but things take a turn when they don’t find what they’re looking for and get attacked by a rival gang.
In the aftermath, Tracy returns to the precinct as Tess goes looking for Mumbles. As she discovers that the informant is dead, Tracy begins to suspect that his investigation is being sandbagged from within.
The Story: Segura and Moreci continue to craft an entertaining and compelling crime thriller in this issue. There is some great action throughout the issue as well as a great mystery at the center that continues to build and evolve in ways that keep me interested as a reader. I like the psychological toll on Tracy and who it is attached to. It creates great personal drama in the story that adds layers to Dick Tracy as a character. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
The Art: Borges delivers some beautiful and stylish art in the issue. The visuals are crisp and perfectly capture the noir elements of the story.
