The Rundown: Bruce deals with the devil inside while the Question discovers the truth about a murder.
Bruce continues his showdown in the desert. A fight for his very soul that will bring him to another possible future where he fights a version of himself that has embraced a tyrannical darkness for the sake of justice. As he endures more pain, he will face a final temptation.
At the same time, Montoya dons the mask of the Question again to hunt for evidence that the Orgham’s are behind the murder of a good cop. As she continues to witness the dark evolution of Gotham under their watch, Question discovers the evidence she needs and decides to bring it to someone she trusts.
The Story: Ram V continues to craft an intricate and deeply engaging story in this issue. This arc does a fantastic job of giving the character some interesting things to overcome as well as showcase the determination that makes Batman so unique and intriguing. I continue to enjoy the contrasting stories with Bruce dealing with his personal issues while Question investigates the changes in the city. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Both artists deliver some beautifully detailed art. The Batman side of the story is filled with brilliant, ethereal imagery while the Montoya side of the story is filled with great noir-style visuals that are perfect for a detective story.
