The Rundown: An injured Batman gets some unexpected help while the city continues to change under his nose.
Two-Face has made a deal with his other side. One that will bring Batman to someone who can help him, but the deal comes with a heavy price that neither Bruce nor Harvey might be prepared to pay. IN the aftermath, Batman manages to escape right before the Orgraham’s forces arrive on the scene and Bruce makes his way to Gordon for more help.
At the same time, Montoya finds her job as Commissioner getting harder in the face of a changing Gotham and Oracle sends some help into the tunnels to look for information on what they might be planning.
The Story: Ram V crafts a darkly entertaining story in this issue. There is a great emphasis on Batman as a character in this issue and there is some great psychological evaluation of the character at play both with the character and with the characters around him. I really enjoyed the dark menace of Two-Face in this issue and how his other personality is exerting itself. The Orgrham storyline is getting interesting as well and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
The Art: All three artists deliver beautiful visuals throughout the issue. I love the dark, brilliantly detailed pages and panels.
