The Rundown: Batman’s investigation into a group of citizen criminals will lead to a shocking revelation.
Bruce Wayne decides to get information from Caroline Donovan and instead learns of her jaded view of justice in Gotham. When Caroline’s mother, Deb Donovan, finds an intruder in her office, Batman races to the scene and discovers that Deb is working on the same investigation he is. An investigation that will lead him to a familiar face who has some advice for the detective.
As Riddler’s show continues to gain popularity and viewers, Batman continues to hunt for a link between them and when Deb is attacked, Batman learns a shocking secret about someone he thought he knew.
The Story: Tamaki and Shammas delivers a solid and entertaining story with a mystery that continues to be compelling as it evolves. I like how Riddler continues to stay in the background of events, but his presence is looming over everything. I love seeing Batman flex his investigative skills and this mystery has some great twists, turns and revelations that keep me engaged and intrigued throughout.
The Art: Reis delivers some fantastic art filled with great action, character and mood. The tone of the art perfectly captures the mood and tone of the plot.
