The Rundown: Chase Meridian is putting the pieces together, but Arkham Tower is more devious than she thinks.
Dr. Chase Meridian thinks back on the moment when she was first introduced to Batman. A moment that shaped her thoughts on superheroes and has guided some of her concerns about what Dr. Wear is doing at Arkham Tower. As she attempts to contact the mayor with her concerns, she is interrupted by both Wear and her appointment with Helena. Things get worse when Psycho Pirate’s control over the patients is interrupted and their natural instincts take over.
With the Tower in chaos, Meridian calls the number Huntress told her to as she starts to put the pieces together about what the treatment in the facility really consists of in the minds of her patients. After waking up and Wear exerting control of everyone in the facility, Barbara and the team put the clues together and discover where the Party Crashers are hiding. Back at the Tower Huntress realizes something is wrong and has left herself clues on how to find out what.
The Story: Tamaki crafts an entertaining story in this issue and I continue to enjoy the mystery at the heart of the story. As the characters start to put the pieces together, the reader is engaged with both the process and what it means. The plotline is infinitely enjoyable and gives a great portrait of the effectiveness of the Bat Family with Bruce gone. I cannot wait to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Raynor delivers some great art on every page of the issue. The characters are beautifully detailed and the action is wonderful and filled with the tension of the story.
