The Rundown: The truth behind Wear’s control of the patients is revealed as well as what happens when that control fails.
Months before the Magistrate incident, a plane lands in Gotham with Psycho Pirate on board. After landing, he quickly makes his way to the home of an old friend and the two discuss a plan that will make them rich enough to hide anywhere in the world. Months later, the Bat Family gather in the Cave to discuss the events happening at Arkham Tower and how there has been an uptick in drugs flowing into the city that needs to be stopped.
Wear finds himself dealing with other issues as his scams have gotten the attention of some of his former clients including the Penguin. Things get even worse when he’s given twenty-four hours to fix his problems and Dr. Chase Meridian stalls on her report to the mayor. Unfortunately, Wear’s desperation will cause a problem not only with Psycho Pirate, but with the patients in the Tower. A problem that could lead to chaos.
The Story: Tamaki delivers a great mystery in this issue. I like seeing all the background stories play out and how all the story elements are coming together. The story has a great pace and a great sense of tension throughout. The story has a great lead up to the action and I was engaged with every part of the plot as the storylines intersected and came together. I cannot wait to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Raynor delivers some great visuals in the issue. There are some great, emotive character moments to be found and the action was thrilling.
