Deron GenerallyFox is continuing to build its cast for the upcoming sequel to the highest grossing R-rated film in history Deadpool.
After the huge announcement that Josh Brolin (Guardians of the Galaxy) would be joining the film as time-traveling mutant Cable, many wondered who would be the next person cast in the film and in what role. It’s been confirmed that actress Shioli Katsuna has been cast in the film due out in 2018. Katsuna’s role has not been disclosed but all sources are saying that it is a ‘key role’. What the significance of that means, we’ll have to wait and see.
Shioli Katsuna has not featured in a lot of American productions, but she is known for her roles in Bitter Blood, Single Mothers and the upcoming film The Outsider opposite Jared Leto (Suicide Squad). Katsuna will be joining fellow new faces Brolin (Cable) and Zazie Beetz (Domino) as well as returning favorites Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Briana Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) and Stefan Kapicic (Colossus).
Deadpool 2 is currently in pre-production with a release date of sometime in 2018.
