The Rundown: A group of new X-Men go on a hunt through realities to find a living enemy.
A small band of X-Men under the command of Rachel Summers and following the orders of Xavier begin a dangerous mission that could prevent the current destruction of the mutant race. A mission that will bring them to a series of dark parallel Earths that have all fallen to death and destruction to find one thing, a human version of Moira MacTaggert.
After barely escaping their last trip, the group finds itself on another dangerous Earth and their mission will get the attention of both space and human conquerors and their discovery of a human Moira could lead to a dangerous new enemy.
The Story: Foxe adds an interesting and unexpected twist to the ever evolving and changing storyline for the X-Men with this story. The stakes are huge and I love how the story doesn’t shy away from that and how it affects the characters. I really enjoyed the dark, frenetic tone of the story and how desperate things continue to get for the mutants. I really liked the cliffhanger ending of this issue and look forward to seeing the repercussions of this mission play out.
The Art: All the artists deliver powerful, dynamic and visually compelling art throughout the issue. The visuals kept me engaged with every character and story element.
