The Rundown: When a group of surviving villains launch an assault on the unliving, the heroes race to administer the cure and stop a bigger threat.
In a bid to save the planet, Penguin and a group of rich villains release an army of Amazo androids across the planet to eradicate the threat of the unliving. Unfortunately, they don’t know that a cure has been found for the condition and the remaining heroes race to destroy the machines before they slaughter the rest of humanity. At the same time, the threat of Trigon is realized and the magical heroes of the universe fight to stop it with Constantine preparing his own way to bring down the demon once and for all.
To make things more interesting, both battles will have Constantine at the center as he works his plan to take down Trigon with the unwitting help of the cabal of villains controlling the Amazo army. A final battle for both the living and the unliving will see acts of heroism, sacrifice and the possibility of a new tomorrow for the world.
The Story: Tom Taylor brings this story home in a satisfying and action packed way with great character arcs and dialogue. There are some fun and interesting character moments throughout the story and the Constantine storyline was incredibly well done. What makes this story work so well is that all of the promise and the buildup from the previous issues has paid off in big ways that make the story and its conclusion so engaging to the reader.
The Art: Trevor Hairsine delivers some great visuals throughout this issue. There are great action scenes that emphasize the scope and scale of the story. A great looking issue with some awesome imagery.
